Marc Chrysanthou (Managing Director) is well-known to readers of the Romanian Poetry Gazette for his bold translations of early 16th-century Romanian verses. He is a distinguished contributor to such journals as Rhyme If You Will and The Rucksack'd Versifier. He is married with three owls. A phenomenally gifted climber, he has climbed many of the world's hardest routes (often for charity, dressed as a giant owl). He lives between his homes in California, Tuscany and Yorkshire.

Gordon Stainforth (Project Director) is well-known to readers of the Belper Literary Journal for his bold forays into local ale houses. A phenomenally ungifted climber, he is astonishingly adept at tying himself up in knots whilst taking climbing photographs, and has climbed many of the country’s easiest routes (he climbed the notoriously easy ‘Charity’ on the Idwal Slabs last year with all the style of a giant owl). He lives, often on the pavement, between his three local pubs.

Duncan Bourne (Illustrator) started life as a war artist for the Little Dipping Ornithologists Club, spending six months undercover as a barn owl. His humorous caricatures of owls have gained him international notoriety and his work is a regular feature of many psychiatric journals. A climber of staggeringly average ability he is fearless in laying claim to awesome routes he has done with a young lass called Charity. He lives on borrowed time in the lucid dreams of a rat called Eric.

Nick Alcock (Designer) started his design career cleaning the paint pots of ‘the famous’ in many Soho studios, progressing after many years to Head Owl Washer. His one man retrospective at the 1982 Venice Biennale, was acclaimed as ‘striving for mediocrity’ by the cognoscenti, and led to his life long aversion to broccoli. In a long and glittering drinking career he has fallen off most of the Diffs in Sussex. He is currently living in a cardboard box by a cash machine in Penge.
